“Nala, an 8-year-old German shepherd, was flying to its new home in Germany on a Delta flight from San Diego, but escaped in Atlanta. The dog was apparently hit by a car and was found by a road crew alongside I-75, the report says. A Delta spokeswoman told the paper that the airline would be donating $1,000 to Atlanta Pet Rescue in Nala’s memory.”
