Three local dogs are currently shining on the small screen as stars in a new commercial. Hallie, an energetic 7-year-old field bred English Springer spaniel; Murphy, a 3-year-old Pembroke Welsh corgi; and 2-year-old golden retriever Mick are featured in a nationally aired advertisement for the arthritis treatment Celebrex. In the minute-long commercial, the three can be seen running and playing on the beach with their actor owners. Hallie’s owner Marci Anderson of Sneads Ferry, Murphy’s owner Laura Blanz of Jacksonville and Mick’s owner Marny Temple of Wilmington were given the unique opportunity to feature their dogs over the summer.
